Westonka Horticultural Society

The Westonka Horticultural Society (WHS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is challenged by an anonymous donor to raise $2,000 by June 30. When this amount is raised, it will be matched by the donor. In addition, the donor will contribute another $1,000 at that time. We would like to ask your help in meeting this challenge. The endowment will secure the financial future of quality educational programs for your community.

Give to the Endowment, help us reach our goal by June 30, 2012. Click here to learn more.

2011 Horticulture Day
A day-long conference of learning about responsible and sustainable gardening and landscaping techniques. This conference offers entry level, intermediate and advanced learning sessions.

One of the goals of the Westonka Horticultural Society is to provide educational tools for responsible and sustainable gardening, landscaping and environmental needs. As our world continues to change through various impacts on the environment, we strive to care for our larger landscape and encourage communities to become stewards of the earth.

Funds raised through the Westonka Horticultural Society provide educational programs with the latest research based information for the home gardener. WHS also provides educational opportunities for continuing education credits and certification from many organizations including Master Gardener programs, horticultural organizations, landscape organizations and other certifiable programs. Community outreach includes scholarship programs, community gardens, revitalization efforts and restoration programs.
